We wanted a bike that would be the next step up from the 16 inch kid bike. This is an amazing bike for even the smaller rider. My daughter loves it and I am finally able to take an enjoyable ride with my girl. She is able to gear on her own and can now make it up those harder hills. It was not a problem for her to pick up on the hand break, we even ended up in a parking lot tonight to ride longer in the dark. They did a great job designing a great quality bike with their customer in mind. There is even a protector for derailer so when they fall or throw the bike down the components are ok. We love this bike so much that we might be on our way for another one for my younger daughter. My husband and I have been going to K & G for years for our bikes and now the next generation is on their way!
