My first "real" bike purchase as an adult. This bike has been excellent thus far. I ride it 8 miles round trip to work each day and it's wonderful. My only complain is that switching between gears to quickly can sometimes cause the chain to slip/jolt back and forth but some fine tuning seemed to adjust that. The seat isn't comfortable by my opinion but I've definitely gotten used to it.

All around a great bike! I ended up being too heavy (240lbs) or legs too strong for the drive train to hold up. Problem solved by upgrading to the escape 1. The seat was surprisingly good. My only complaint is the pedals.

I've been riding for 3 years now, my last bike was a Mongoose mountain bike. This is a huge upgrade, the Escape 2 is much sturdier, lighter, looks much better and is a joy to ride! The handlebars feel very strong and are comfortable. My first time out with it I rode it for 5 hours, my butt was getting sore the last hour or so so I replaced the seat with a Cloud 9 now the bike is perfect! My last bike was horrible going up hill but with the Giant it's very easy. This is the absolute best bike I've ever been on.

I ride three times a week and do about 20 miles at a time and other than the seat(got a softer one) this bike is top notch...even a consumer digest best buy(august 2012)!

I bike 20 miles round trip a day. This bike is comfortable and fun to ride. I wanted something fast that was more comfortable than a rode bike. This is a great commute bike for the hills in southern California. I enjoy my ride to and from work! Very sturdy, but light. Good gearing and brakes. Nice bike overall!

The geometry of this bike is very comfortable and seems stable at high speed. The frame is strong, light, and forgiving on rough roads. For the price, it's hard to beat this bike.

I primarily use this bike to commute 7 miles to/from work and could not be more satisfied. My ride includes a number of moderate climbs that have become practically effortless with this bike. Getting to and from work is now the best part of my work day not to mention all the gas $ saved and pounds lost. I test rode a number of different bikes in my price range and found this one to be the best value for the money.

I used the bike for road fitness over the winter, 3500 kms from Dec. May 2012. This is bike that is very well built. Find the right seat and a good set of brake pads and you will have a great bike to enjoy.
