We pull Lucky on paved roads and straight-line trails. He's a ballast at 30 lbs, but I have got him up a steep incline in low gear. He started out barking a lot. But, now my wife (his best buddy) pulls him and I ride closely behind encouraging him to relax and not bark. This has solved the barking issue. We've only taken him out 3 times so far... about 1 hour each time. Three cheers for Lucky! PS> I wish the 3rd wheel was included for the grand price. Would be useful on vacation.

Burley tall wagon trailer is well made, (my is just slightly modified to carry more weight), it behave behind bicycle well and flow over small potholes eazy, once I tow it behind MTB on logging roads for about 200 km with 50 kilo cargo ! I think it will show wear and tear over the short period of time like all pet trailers but this one is far superior to my old Grooser if you think durability - just right trailer for cycling pet owners on asphalt and light trails . Best use and best behaviour, behind right trekking bike on fast hard packed country roads .
